Position Summary:

This position works as a member of the team that develops internal applications.  Specifically, this includes designing, developing and implementing financial and administrative applications used in all offices.  The primary technologies used are Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, VB.Net and ASP.Net.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Participate in teams working with users to develop specifications for new applications. 

·        Work on the development of applications using Visual InterDev,  Visual Basic,  the .Net Framework and/or Microsoft SQL Server, based needs of the user.

·        Participate in the testing and implementation of new applications.

·        Program modifications to existing applications based on user requests and MIS requirements specifications

·        Provide ongoing support for applications already in use.  This includes problem diagnosis and resolution, ad hoc reporting support and database administration.

·        Other application development and quality assurance tasks, as necessary

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field

·        Proven aptitude for software development

·        2 to 7 years of relevant applications development experience in the Microsoft Windows environment, including Visual Basic and SQL compliant databases required.

·        Experience with SQL Server database management preferred, but not required.

·        Strong communication and customer service skills

·        Strong analytic and problem solving skills

·        High performance and standards as demonstrated by academic or previous job experience
