What is Second Life?

Second Life (SL) is an internet based virtual world which launched in 2003.  Sapphire Technologies U.S. along with Sapphire Technologies Pan Asia populate an island in the south-east called Sapphire Technologies.  Users, also referred to as Residents, can explore, socialize, and participate in individual and group activities. Additinoally visitors can create and trade items and services from one another in this virtual world.
